Given Imaging Ltd. was established in 1998 in Yoqneam, Israel, when a former missile engineer combined his knowledge with that of a medical doctor, in order to create a revolutionary diagnostic tool. Bravo is the only wireless (catheter-free) ambulatory pH test to help clinicians manage gastro esophageal reflux disease.

In 2001, only three years after its founding, Given Imaging made worldwide headlines when it introduced this revolutionary FDA approved PillCam™ Capsule Endoscopy to the world. The PillCam™ replaces painful and invasive endoscopy and enterscopy diagnostic procedures through the simple yet innovative technique of swallowing a capsule capable of transmitting fifty thousand real-time images to a receiver belt worn by the patient and which can then be reviewed by a physician.
-
The PillCam™ helps diagnose Crohn's Disease, celiac disease, malabsorption disorders and benign and malignant tumors of the small intestine. It can also detect vascular disorders, medication-related small bowel injuries, and a range of pediatric small bowel disorders often remaining undiagnosed using other procedures.
-
Currently, the PillCam™ is marketed in over 60 countries, including the US, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, China, South Korea and Latin America and has been adopted by major health insurers.
